PITTSBURGH, Pa. (October 27, 2026) – Christine Dudas-Norton, post-closing and disclosure manager for Howard Hanna Mortgage Services, was bestowed with the President’s Award from the Mortgage Bankers of the Carolinas, Inc. (MBAC), as announced by the organization earlier this month.
The MBAC President’s Award is a special recognition presented by the sitting MBAC President to honor an individual who has made significant contributions to the association and the mortgage banking industry. Recipients showcase strong qualities of leadership, service, engagement and impact on the mortgage banking community.
“Christine Dudas-Norton is a great example of what makes our mortgage banking community special,” said Bruce Buckless, MBAC President. “She is always willing to get involved, share her time, and help make our industry better. From her leadership in western North Carolina to her involvement with MBAC and willingness to serve on our board, Christine continues to step up.”
Dudas-Norton joined Howard Hanna Mortgage Services in February 2023 as a loan closer before moving into the role of NMLS licensing coordinator and marketing compliance coordinator. She remained in that position until this month when she was named the post-closing and disclosure manager.
Already actively involved with MBAC, Dudas-Norton most recently served on its event committee for the organization’s 70th annual convention, which was held from Oct. 4-6 in Greenville, S.C. She serves as president of the Mortgage Bankers Association of Western North Carolina (MBAWNC) and last week was sworn onto the MBAC Board of Directors.
Buckless noted that Dudas-Norton’s willingness to get involved stood out when determining the recipient of this year’s award, saying that she doesn’t just show up, but instead participates, shares ideas, follows through and ultimately has a genuine desire to make a difference. Her eagerness to join the MBAC Board as a North Carolina director showcases her commitment to the mortgage banking industry.
“(Christine) understands the importance of relationships, mentorship and giving back,” added Buckless. “I am proud to recognize her with the President’s Award, and I can’t think of anyone more deserving.”
